BHS hosted the annual BHSD228 District Entrepreneurship competition today. Facing the sharks on ABC’s Shark Tank is not an easy thing to do, even when you are a successful entrepreneur. At District 228, students defended their business plan and concepts in front of friendly “sharks” gathered to judge their business concepts from OFHS, TPHS, and BHS. OFHS came out on top but all the plans were top notch! BHS Class of 2020 Alumni Devonte O'Malley has signed with the Tennessee Titans for the 2025 NFL Season! After leaving BHS Vito went on to be a preferred walked on for Northern Illinois Football team which quickly turned into a scholarship. He was a key player in NIU upsetting Notre Dame his senior year and was named National Defensive Player Of The Week. Mr. Harris, Mrs. Guzak, & 40 Personal Finance students visited the @chicagofed today. They learned about the Federal Reserve and the role it plays in our economy. Afterwards the students were able to go through the Money Museum where they saw what a million dollars looked like in different denominations as well as how money has changed through the times. BHS Sophomore Leadership took a trip to @thebridgetc and participated in the Lead U program which is a leadership program that focuses on building leadership skills in high school students through various aspects of leadership skills and community service. #BremenBraves

Friday BHS students and staff participated in the Day of (NO) Silence, a national event that brings attention to the experiences of LGBTQ+ youth. Congratulations to the 2025 BHS Group Interpretation Ensemble on an incredible season! 🎭 The talented cast brought All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten to life, delivering a heartfelt and comedic performance. We are proud to announce 12 BHS Braves completed the requirements for the Community Health Workers (CHW) certificate through Sinai Urban Health Institute and the Cook County Department of Public Health High School Pipeline pilot program. 8 of the students will also complete a summer internship at Cook County Dept. of Public Health this summer.
