Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 10th from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm. This year we will continue offering parents the option of having their conference with the teacher either virtually between 12PM and 3PM, or in-person between 3PM and 7PM.

The Hillcrest library staff is celebrating everyone's freedom to read by promoting Banned Books Week, which is recognized each year to draw attention to the dangers of censorship. Ms. Payton, Mrs. Case, Ms. Williams, and Ms. Adebesin all wore themed shirts today, and the library is featuring commonly challenged titles and awarding prizes to students who participate in Banned Books Trivia. Last Night Mrs. Kelsey was recognized at the Annual Partner Recognition Celebration at Morton Arboretum. Mrs. Kelsey was recognized for her continued partnership with the Morton Arboretum, and the recent accomplishment of having Hillcrest High School become an official Arboretum. ALUM ALERT: Congratulations to Dillon Smith who is now an official Airman of the United States Air Force Academy. Smith was presented with the distinguished honor as “Airmen” during the annual “Coin and Retreat Ceremony” in San Antonio, Texas, after completing his basic military training. Smith will be stationed in Missouri as of Friday. In the Spring, Airman Smith will begin college majoring in biology pre-medicine to pursue his goal of becoming a physician. #hillcresthawkpride
