Pashance Booth and Jordin Ortiz have artwork on display at the Museum of Science and Industry! Pashance submitted a powerful photography series centered on our football team, featuring junior Micah Robinson as the main model. Jordin earned Honorable Mention for her stunning paper sculpture—well deserved! The museum hosts an incredible show and awards ceremony every year, truly celebrating student artists. Their work will be on display through April, so don’t miss it! #hillcresthawkpride

💙 Hoodies for Hawks💙 Former Hillcrest teacher and coach Mr. Hennessy, alongside current teacher Kenya Young, teamed up to collect donations for Hoodies for Hawks—and the response was incredible! Over $1,400 was raised by teachers, staff, administration, and students. Hawks were surprised with “Bleed Blue” hoodies and heartfelt notes, reminding them just how supported they are. #hillcresthawkspride

🎳✨ Senior Night Celebration! ✨🎳 Last night, our Girls Bowling Team celebrated Senior Night at Tinley Park Bowl 💙 We’re so proud of our 5 seniors, who helped lead us to one of our strongest records in recent years through their hard work, leadership, and dedication. Student(s) of the Week- 👏 Kendra Smith, a senior, has truly gone above and beyond in preparing for her future. Her hard work, focus, and commitment to her goals set a great example for others. 🌟 Damaiya Finley, who is new to Hillcrest, is already making a strong impression. 👏 Ryan Wilcox has truly stepped up his game and is absolutely crushing it both in and out of the classroom. His dedication, effort, and positive attitude are setting a great example for those around him! 📸 Derrick Streeter continues to capture moments that fill our hallways with memories through his photography. On top of that, he advocated for himself and the PR program by pushing for new equipment—demonstrating professionalism, confidence, and leadership. #hillcresthawkpride

Students in IT classes attended a Southworks Meet and Greet at GSU. The students met with various industry professionals presenting job opportunities in the fields of robotics and avionics as they relate to manufacturing. Students came away with real world experience in interviewing and networking with prospective employers. Over all, it was a huge success! #hillcresthawkpride

Hillcrest DECA collaborated with the BedsPlus homeless organization to provide 11 bags of coats totaling 70. In addition, DECA students prepared 100 lunches for the homeless individuals served by BedsPlus. #hillcresthawkpride

Chris Garcia, representing the highly selective Northwestern Medicine Discovery Program, attended Tuesday nights board meeting to help honor Jahir Perez and Dani Perez for their outstanding achievements. The Discovery Program offers students rare, real-world exposure to medical careers—an incredible opportunity that Jahir and Dani have embraced with pride and excellence. Jahir and Dani represented Hillcrest beautifully, and we couldn’t be more proud of all three students. #hillcresthawkpride

Hillcrest High School would like to thank the Village of Hazel Crest and the Hazel Crest Police Department for partnering with us for Hillcrest's first Shop with a Cop event. Four students—one from each grade level—who demonstrated outstanding commitment to school by maintaining at least 95% attendance were randomly selected to participate. This special shopping spree celebrated the importance of attendance while fostering positive relationships between students, families, Hillcrest, and local law enforcement!  #hillcresthawkpride
