Honors Anatomy and Physiology students have made Anatomical T-shirts as a reference guide for their Unit Test today. Students have worked hard creating their supplemental study guide using medical terminology that was unfamiliar to them until now. As a bonus/ extra credit, students must wear their t-shirt all day during class, lunch, and study. If a staff member sees a student with their shirt on, they can quiz them on the information! Congratulations to Mario Klyce on earning Math Student of the Month. Mario goes above and beyond both inside and after school. Mario is a silent leader in class, always taking notes, asking questions when clarification is needed and being a model student. If Mario struggles and needs extra support, he takes it upon himself to go to study tables and to get help. Today, the Ecology Club planted 20 additional trees on campus, bringing the total to 81. The students gained hands-on experience in properly planting and caring for trees. We truly appreciate this annual opportunity the Morton Arboretum provides to our students. #hillcresthawkpride
The Building Trades students attended Manufacturing Day at South Suburban College where they participated in activities involving engineering, robotics as well as team building exercises. Afterwards, they toured LB Steel where they learned about how to get into the industry as well as the manufacturing process of components that are found in a wide array of applications, from bullet trains to Space X rockets! #hillcresthawkpride
South Suburban College is offering a free, non-credit AI Overview course beginning Tuesday Oct. 15 for 8 weeks. The class will meet in person one night per week with activities/assignments planned for the rest of the week. Check out more details below!
