Recently, Tinley Park hosted the District Shark Cage Competition, bringing together Entrepreneurship students from across the district. Participants developed business plans based on ventures they are passionate about and presented their ideas in front of a panel of “sharks.”

Last weekend District 228 students attended our Operation Snowball retreat, an overnight getaway focusing on healthy lifestyle choices. The retreat is planned by teens for teens. Today, Mr. Ramel’s Entrepreneurship classes had the pleasure of welcoming back Hillcrest alum (Class of 2022), Asha Head! Asha spoke with students about launching a business, the real challenges entrepreneurs face, and how taking control of your own path can create new opportunities. She shared her journey as she finishes her final year at Eastern Illinois University and prepares to launch her own business—currently working on filing her LLC with the state.
