DECA students went to Nob Hill and participated in the Holiday Wish Party. They had a wonderful time with the students in Ms. Griffith's Pre-Kindergarten Class. DECA students interacted and bonded with the students and also brought some presents! Seeing their eyes light up when they brought presents was priceless. #hillcresthawkpride

The Girls Bowling team took part in the Rich Township Raptor Invite this weekend. The Varsity team placed 5th overall! Excellent Job Girls. Our JV team brought home two pieces of hardware. The JV team came in 3rd place overall and Hillcrest Freshman, Robin Lewis ,came in 1st Place as the Individual Tournament Champion! 🎓☕ Mrs. Youngberg hosted an inspiring "Coffee and Career" day with Hillcrest Alumni in her FCCLA class! Students had the chance to learn about a variety of careers from former FCCLA members and Hillcrest graduates. The alumni shared valuable insights about their professions, plus tips on networking and the power of hard work. After the presentations, students participated in a Q&A session, diving deeper into the career paths and college. The Hillcrest band helped Matteson Trustee Carolyn Palmer celebrate her 75th birthday at the Serbian Social Center in Lansing, IL. The Hillcrest majorettes made Mrs. Palmer an honorary majorette and gifted her a majorette uniform. #hillcresthawkpride

Last week, Mrs. Sweeney's students created a Holiday themed Cupcake Pull Apart. It was the first time some of them had ever frosted cupcakes. They hand fun and learned that it takes time, organization and practice to master cake decorating skills. The students said the cupcakes were delicious too! #hillcresthawkpride
On Friday, Drivers Ed classes learned how to read a map cultivating crucial life skills such as problem solving, navigation, understanding directions, interpreting symbols and visual analysis. They had a great time! #hillcresthawkpride
Eddie is such a wonderful young man who always goes above and beyond. He makes sure that others are included and showcases strong morals and values inside and outside the classroom. He is the true meaning of a STUDENT athlete who makes sure to keep his grades up while participating in numerous sports. He always has a smile on his face and will never hesitate to ask how his teachers are doing or compassion in any situation.
