Today, the Ecology Club planted 20 additional trees on campus, bringing the total to 81. The students gained hands-on experience in properly planting and caring for trees. We truly appreciate this annual opportunity the Morton Arboretum provides to our students. #hillcresthawkpride
The Building Trades students attended Manufacturing Day at South Suburban College where they participated in activities involving engineering, robotics as well as team building exercises. Afterwards, they toured LB Steel where they learned about how to get into the industry as well as the manufacturing process of components that are found in a wide array of applications, from bullet trains to Space X rockets! #hillcresthawkpride
South Suburban College is offering a free, non-credit AI Overview course beginning Tuesday Oct. 15 for 8 weeks. The class will meet in person one night per week with activities/assignments planned for the rest of the week. Check out more details below!

The Hillcrest library staff is celebrating everyone's freedom to read by promoting Banned Books Week, which is recognized each year to draw attention to the dangers of censorship. Last Night Mrs. Kelsey was recognized at the Annual Partner Recognition Celebration at Morton Arboretum. Mrs. Kelsey was recognized for her continued partnership with the Morton Arboretum, and the recent accomplishment of having Hillcrest High School become an official Arboretum.
